Mr. and Mrs. Swamy’s Journey to Parenthood

The couple had previously endured several miscarriages. Further investigations revealed that these losses were due to chromosomal abnormalities (aneuploidies) in the fetus. During their subsequent IVF cycle, 11 embryos were screened using Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) at MedGenome Labs. PGS involves examining a few cells from each IVF embryo to determine whether the number of chromosomes is normal. Based on the results, MedGenome recommended the most suitable embryos for transfer. Following the transfer of a healthy embryo, the couple went on to have a successful pregnancy and welcomed a healthy baby. Summary: PGS significantly improves the likelihood of a successful pregnancy through IVF by helping identify embryos with a normal chromosomal profile.
